The First and Second Generations |

| 5:1 | This is the book of the Chronicles of Adam: On the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. |

| 5:26 | Methuselah lived 782 years after he had Lemekh, and he had sons and daughters. |

The Tenth Generation |

| 5:28 | Lemekh lived 182 years, and he had a son. |
| 5:29 | He named him Noah, saying, 'This one will bring us relief from our work and the anguish of our hands, from the soil that God has cursed.' |
