||Moses became very angry. He prayed to God, 'Do not accept their offering. I did not take a single donkey from them! I did not do any of them any harm!'
Vayichar le-Moshe me'od vayomer el-Adonay al-tefen el-minchatam lo chamor echad mehem nasati velo hare'oti et-achad mehem.
||Moses then said to Korach, 'You and all your party will have to present yourselves before God. You and [your party] will be there tomorrow along with Aaron.
Vayomer Moshe el-Korach atah vechol-adatecha heyu lifney Adonay atah vahem ve'Aharon machar.
(Rashbam). Or, ' I did not take a donkey from any one of them' (Targum; Rashi).
The Septuagint substitutes 'desirable thing' for donkey, changing the reading from chamor to chamud. The Talmud notes that this change was deliberate (Megillah 9a).
